Refund Policy
Last updated: [date] · Prime Volt Solar Pty Ltd · ABN [ABN]
This policy explains when a deposit is refundable, how cancellations work, and what happens if something goes wrong with your installation.
1. Your cooling-off rights
Where the Australian Consumer Law provides a cooling-off period for your agreement, you may cancel within that period and receive a full refund of any deposit. [State the applicable cooling-off period and how notice must be given.]
2. Deposits
[Deposit amount or percentage, and when it becomes payable.]
If we cancel, or if a site assessment shows your property is not suitable and you choose not to proceed with an alternative design, your deposit is refunded in full.
3. Cancellation after the cooling-off period
[Set out clearly what is refundable and what is not, for example, costs already incurred on equipment ordered or grid applications lodged. Amounts withheld must reflect genuine costs, not a penalty.]
4. Faulty products or workmanship
If a product is faulty you are entitled to a repair, replacement or refund under the Australian Consumer Law and the manufacturer warranty, depending on the nature of the failure. Workmanship issues are rectified by us under our warranty at no cost to you.
5. How to request a refund
Contact us at [refunds contact] with your name, address and invoice number. We will respond within [timeframe]. Approved refunds are paid to the original payment method within [timeframe].
6. If you are not satisfied
Raise it with us first. If we cannot resolve it, you can contact [relevant state fair trading / consumer affairs body].
